Land Between the Lakes Overnight

Tomorrow’s Chapter Overnight ride to Grand Rivers, KY on June 1, 2024 is a GO !! 

 

Rain is predicted Saturday sporadically and with possible left over rain on Sunday.

 

For those planning to ride we will be meeting at 8 am at the Shell Gas Station 

next to Loveless Cafe at 8456 TN-100 Nashville TN.  

 

Safety meeting is a 8:15 am and K/U at 8:30 am. 

 

The ride is 3 hours plus 2 stops on the way and pending rain (likely a total 4 hour ride).

 

For those who wish to drive by car, we will meet up at the Thirsty Turtle Tavern

at 265 Nautical Drive Grand Rivers KY at 12:30 pm for lunch. 

 

No reservation was required or possible but they assured us they can easily handle our larger group.

We will call them tomorrow am to notify them of our arrival at 12:30 pm-ish. 

 

FYI - You may check in at Patti’s Inn & Suites at 1017 Dover Road at 3 pm or possibly 

earlier if your room is cleaned. Note, Hotel management notified parties with reservations 

yesterday that the elevator is under repair so you will need to use the stairs to your room

 

Save the date. June 1st - RC’s Marc Kelley and Jamie Kelley have planned a road trip for us to Land Between the Lakes. A back roads ride leading to the Thirsty Turtle, T Lawsons, & Patti’s 1880 Settlement in Grand Rivers, KY, is planned, with a different route on Sunday back to Franklin. This is a Saturday overnight ride. Hotel reservations need to be made before March 1 to take advantage of blocked rooms.
