Scale of 1-5, HOG Level 1 is easiest, and rides increase in complexity/duration to HOG Level 5 (see details below).
HOG LEVEL 1: A simple, relaxed ride lasting an hour or less, with minimal challenges or
complications.

No rest stops are required.

Avoids interstate highways.

Example: A ride from the dealership to Leipers Fork.
HOG LEVEL 2: A moderate ride lasting 1 to 2 hours, covering up to 125 miles, with at least one planned rest stop.

May encounter weather conditions, such as cold, heat, or rain.

Includes at least one rest stop.

It could feature some moderately challenging roads and curves.

Example: A ride from the dealership to Lynchburg TN.
HOG LEVEL 3: A longer ride, covering up to 200 miles, typically lasting the entire day.

Includes multiple rest stops.

Features challenging roads, curves, and stretches of interstate mixed with back roads.

HOG LEVEL 4: A lengthy ride, over 200 miles, typically an all-day ride of overnight stay.

Weather conditions (cold/heat/rain) along with rider fatigue are to be expected.

Best suited for experienced riders accustomed to demanding conditions and roads.

HOG LEVEL 5: A lengthy ride, over 300 miles per day, typically an overnight stay or multiple

Route and rest stops will be more structured and more time-based.

Extreme road conditions will be encountered, which could include extended riding into the sunset hours.
